Warren Hutmacher founded WHW Local Government Consulting (WHW LGC) in 2021. WHW LGC provides clients with a wide variety of consulting services related to local government problem solving.
WHW LGC serves both municipal clients as well as the businesses, non-profits and schools that interact with local governments. We believe deeply in developing long-term relationships and always putting our clients best interests first.

Warren Hutmacher began his career working for the City of Marietta, GA in 1997 after completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Delaware and his master’s degree in Public Administration from The Ohio State University.
Warren took on his first City Manager assignment in 2003 with the City of Avondale Estates, GA. Over the next 18 years Warren worked as a City Manager in metro Atlanta for the cities of Norcross, Dunwoody and Johns Creek Georgia.
In 2019 Warren worked as a Principal for CPL, a national firm specializing in Planning, Engineering and Architecture. In 2020 he took a job with the City of Hutto, TX as their City Manager.
Warren is known for his thoughtful approach to complex problems, his facilitation skills and his reputation for solid fiscal management. He has a long track record in effectively hiring and developing key staff in each of the cities he has helped.
Warren’s career highlights include appointment as the first City Manager for newly incorporated Dunwoody, GA, his work on redevelopment projects and efforts to bring long range planning and strategic thinking to all facets of local government.
Warren lives in Georgia with his wife and two children. He formed WHW Local Government Consulting in 2021 to share the experience he has gained in nearly 25 years in local government.
